Summary of Unit A brief snapshot, as if someone asked you to briefly and clearly describe the intent of the lesson or project.
In this unit, the students will learn of the events that led to the Revolutionary War. They will focus on Immigration from England, Life in the New World, The Boston Tea Party, Paul Revere's Ride, the Revolutionary War, and the Declaration of Independence. After learning about each of these events the students will assist in the creation of an iMovie to retell the events that led to the War. The students will collaborate with teams to create a picture of their assigned event as well as a description of the event to add to the movie.

1. What effect did the Revolutionary War have on the thirteen original colonies?
2. What are the major historical events that led to our country's independence?
3. What can we learn about our country from studying past people, places, and events?
